John M. Dominguez

March 30, 1927 — October 10, 2011

John M. Dominguez, 84, of Bethlehem, died on Monday October 10, 2011. Born in Mahanoy City, PA, he was the son of the late Michael Dominguez and Candida Martin Laurido. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Dolores Sanchez Andreoli Dominguez.

John was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Engineering Division for 40 years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church and served in the Marine Corps during WWII. He was a flight instructor at the local airports, flew charter and private aircraft, and was a member of the Silver Wings Fraternity, Quiet Birdmen and Aircraft Owner and Pilot Association. He was a past Worshipful Master of Masonic Lodge 283, a member of the Rajah Temple, Reading, and accordion player of JD & the Quarter Notes for many years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dolores; son, Michael; step daughter, Donna Andreoli Jones; sisters, Pauline Holschwandner and Juanita Laslo; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Shawn Dominguez, and Amanda wife of Wayne Shannon. He was preceded in death by his sister Elvirra Carra.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, where viewing hours will be held on Friday October 14th from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem. Entombment will be in the Holy Saviour Mausoleum, Bethlehem.
