John M. Mcdonald

John M. "Jack" McDonald, 91, formerly of Bethlehem, died Sunday June 27, 2010 at Franciscan Oaks Health Center in Denville, NJ. He was born on June 23, 1919 in New York City, son of the late Edward F. and Florence Fitzgerald McDonald. He was the husband of the late Lois H. McDonald, who died in 2004.

Jack graduated from Columbia University in 1941 and Fordham University School of Law in 1944. He was employed by Associated Industries of New York State, Inc., as Legislative Counsel prior to joining Bethlehem Steel in 1958. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1982 as the manager of the State Government Affairs Division in the Public Affairs Department. After his retirement he was employed as an attorney at Killian & Gephardt Law Firm in Harrisburg, PA.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Muriel Cook of Scotch Plains, NJ, sisters-in-law, Hilda McDonald of Denville, NJ and Barbara Miller of Southfield, MI., many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by his brother, Edward L. McDonald.

Arrangements are being handled by the Connell Funeral Home in Bethlehem. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
