John M. Michalgyk

John M. Michalgyk, 79, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Born on April 29, 1943, in Allentown, he was the son of the late John and Irene (Oleschak) Michalgyk.

A graduate of Whitehall High Schools Class of 1961, John went on to earn his Bachelor of Business of Administration, in Industrial Management, from the University of Miami in 1965.

Over the course of his professional career, he served as a Manufacturing Manager with B. Braun, and later as a Manufacturing Engineer with Mack Trucks.

Outside of work, John was an avid skier and tennis player. He also enjoyed Corvettes, pickleball, fishing, University of Miami sports, and taking trips with his family to Miami.

John will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Danette C. (Martin) Michalgyk, to whom he wed on October 25, 1975; daughter: Andrea Tabaka (Douglas); son: Michael Michalgyk (Veronica); and three grandchildren: Scott Tabaka, Adriana Tabaka, and Jackson Michalgyk.

A viewing will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, on Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 3:00 until 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Johns name, to Peaceable Kingdom Animal Shelter, 1049 MacArthur Rd, Whitehall, PA 18052 or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital/ALSAC, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
