John Michael Sawyer

With deepest sorrow we share the passing of Johnny Sawyer, age 23, our most beloved son, brother, and friend, who passed suddenly on Sunday, March 21, 2021.

Those who knew Johnny, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

He was born on January 21, 1998, in Bethlehem, PA. He is the son of Robert and Mary B. Sawyer of Hanover Township, and loving brother to Rocky (Tia), Danny (Allison), and Jimmy (Kat) Sawyer. He is also survived by his loving grandmother, Joan McEnrue, of Hanover Township, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Johnnys love for life, family, and friends was endearing to all who loved and knew him. He loved animals and always had a great passion for people. John also had a very gentle, caring heart for the elderly.

John enjoyed snowboarding, playing pool volleyball, and cornhole with his dad and brothers, spending time with family and friends, and was an avid player of baseball and soccer. John was also a very talented musician and loved playing his guitar and piano. He had an ear for musiche could learn and play songs by memory.

John graduated from Liberty High School and attended Northampton Community College. John worked for Bridgeway Academy in Catasauqua. He previously worked for Blue Mountain Ski Resort as a snowboard instructor.

We will hold onto his infectious smile, and kind and compassionate spirit. Well miss his great big bear hugs.

May God bless his soul and let his spirit shine down on us as we pray for strength, shared memories, and for all of the beautiful things Johnny brought to this world.

A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, on Saturday, March 27, 2021, from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for a random act of kindness in Johnnys honor.
