John N. Nemith

John N. Nemith, 78, of Bethlehem, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 20, 2014. He was born July 13, 1936; son of the late Rudolph and Mary (Czekits) Nemith. John was preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years, Barbara T. (Quier) Nemith. He was a member of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church. John proudly served as a radio operator in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon his honorable discharge, he worked as a layout operator for Western Electric, until his retirement from Agere. John enjoyed tending to his flowers and garden. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Cynthia Paulik and her husband, Dave of Nazareth; Alesia Albright and her husband, Gary and Patricia Snisky and her husband, Frank all of Bethlehem; four grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Emily and Hailey; sisters, Freda, Anna and Helen as well as his nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his sisters, Mary, Hermina, and Hilda and his brothers, Rinehart, Charles, Rudolph and Lewis.

The family will receive family and friends from 9-10 am on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a service to immediately follow in the funeral home at 10 am. Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of St. Lukes c/o Development, 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
