John P. Collins

July 24, 1927 — August 2, 2008

John P. "Jack" Collins, 81, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at St.Lukes Hospital.

He was born in Bethlehem the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Geisinger Collins.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Pauline Fleck Collins of Bethlehem.

He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Midway.

Jack retired from the Bethlehem Steel after more than 25 years of service as an Industrial Engineer.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family, wife, Pauline; daughter, Deborah wife of Joseph Pulcini of Bethlehem; sons, Michael J. Collins husband of Susan of Bethlehem and Patrick J. Collins husband of Etta of West Haven, CT; as well as four grandchildren and his great grandson.

Jack is also survived by his sisters Katherine Collins, Barbara Ford, Betty Jane Reiser and Patricia Priestas.

He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy and brothers Thomas and Robert.

Jack enjoyed listening to operas and classical music, reading and doing crosswords but he had a special passion for Golf.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 5, 2008 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem from 7-9 PM and again on Wednesday August 6, 2008 from 9:30-10AM with a service to immediately follow at 11AM in the funeral home.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem
