John P. Young

John P. Young, 80, of Bethlehem passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg surrounded by his loving family. Born December 29, 1937 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Minnie (Kidman) and Ellis B. Young. He was married to Theresa (Horvath) Young with whom he would have celebrated 58 years of marriage this November 5th.

John worked for Bethlehem Steel, Abbotts Dairies and retired from the Bethlehem Area School District as the head custodian for Freedom High School and Spring Garden Elementary School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the casino. John had a great sense of humor and will be missed by all those that knew him.

John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Theresa, son, David Young and wife Nancy, daughter Diane Kline and husband Richard, Jr., and a granddaughter, Kylie Rose all of Bethlehem. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Donald, and Allen Young and a sister, Marian Lindsay.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.
