John Patrick Keating

John “Pat” Keating, 75, of Bethlehem, passed away on Monday, February 06, 2017. He was the son of the late Eleanor (Finley) and John Keating. John was the loving husband of Elizabeth A. (Polinsky) Keating.

John was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Glacier. He participated in Operation Deep Freeze during the Vietnam War. John worked in retail management for Hesss, Brights and The Guild and later as a courier for Lehigh Valley Hospital. He served on the Board of Education for the Allentown Diocese and he was also a former member of the Lehighton Rotary Club.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Keating; children, Christopher Keating and Colleen Feehan, wife of David; a brother, Mark Keating and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Christopher Keating.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will also be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at St Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave. Whitehall, PA 18052 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m.
