John Potter

John Potter, 77, of Hellertown, PA passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born October 6, 1933 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late AnnaPinter and Stephen Potter. He was married to Barbara A. Frey Potter with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage until her passing in 2002.

John was the owner and operator of John Potter's Printing Service. John also worked with Valley Printing Company. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hellertown. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Hellertown American Legion, VFW Post 3094, Dewey Fire Company, Hellertown Sportsman Club and Springtown Rod and Gun Club. One of John's favorite things to do was to attend the dinners at Calvary Baptist Church in Bethlehem.

He is survived by his daughters, Lynn wife of Steven Sarko and Kris Potter, grandchildren, Amber Potter, Branden Potter, Steven Sarko, Eric Sarko and Zachary Sarko. He is also survived by two great granddaughters, Nevaeh Alyssa Novak and Sophia Mae Cressman. He was preceded in death by his five brothers, Frank, Charles, James, Joseph and Stephen.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 7-9 PM. A calling period will held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church of Hellertown 69 Main St. Hellertown, PA 18055 from 10-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
