John R. Kajmo

September 16, 1919 — July 4, 2009

John Kajmo, Sr., 89, of Bethlehem and formerly of Hellertown, died on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Kirkland Village in Bethlehem.

He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late John and Theresa Kajmo.

John was preceded in death by his wife Irene T. Kajmo.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. John was stationed in Kimbolton, England and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross as a B17 Pilot.

John was a graduate of both Ursinus College and Rutgers University.

He retired from the FDIC as a Bank Examiner after 27 years of service.

John will be lovingly remembered by his son, John R. Kajmo, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Nazareth; as well as his sisters, Marian Prosperi and Lillian Fritchman both of Bethlehem and Paul Kajmo of Bucks County.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 10-11AM with a service to celebrate John's life to immediately follow at 11AM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem PA 18018.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301
