John R. Nonnemacher

John R. Nonnemacher, 67, of Salisbury Twp. died on Monday, February 7, 2011 at his residence.

He was born April 13, 1943 in Fountain Hill; the son of the late Howard and Marion Bicking Nonnemacher.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Molly Hambrook Nonnemacher.

He retired in 2002 after 35 years of service as a Compositor for the Morning Call. Following in his passion for golf, John later became the Starter at Center Valley Golf Course. John was also an owner and steward of Reliance. Earlier, in conjunction with his father; he owned John's Grocery Store in Fountain Hill.

He was a member of Unami; VFW 2124; VFW Emmaus; Fountain Hill Democratic Club; The Hosey; 540 Democratic Club; Jefferson Democratic Club, Bethlehem; Salisbury Fire Co,; Se Wy Co Fire Co.; Wanderers A.A.; Bath Legion; Siedersville; Eagles; Fearless Fire Co.; AMVETS; Catholic War Veterans; Home Assoc.; North End Republican Club; Jordan St. Athletic Club; Franklin Fire Co. and Rural Sportsman Assoc.

John enjoyed shooting pool throughout the valley and was a member of the VIP, APA and Lehigh Valley Leagues.

John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Molly; sons, Michael Nonnemacher of Bethlehem, John Chrin of Short Hills, NJ and Tom Chrin of Allentown as well as his six grandchildren, John Chrin, Jr., Rose Chrin, Elizabeth Chrin, Dylan Nonnemacher, Gavin Lewis and Chase Nonnemacher; his brother Edd Nonnemacher of New Market, VA and sister, Patricia, wife of John Kisileca of Hackettstown, NJ.

John was preceded in death by his son, Marc Nonnemacher and his brother William Nonnemacher.

The family will receive friends at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 6-9 PM and again on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 10-11 AM with a funeral service to immediately follow.
