John W. Gasdaska, III, 71 of Bethlehem, PA passed away of natural causes on Tuesday January 11, 2022, at his home. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late John and Helen (Moclock) Gasdaska Jr. John graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School in 1968 where he was a member of the Varsity Wrestling team. He also graduated from West Virginia University in 1972 with a degree in history. John was the inventory control assistant at the Controllers Office for Lehigh University since 2001 and also worked for the Lehigh County Law Library. John was an avid reader and history buff. He enjoyed old movies, jazz, and classical music. He loved playing rugby for the Bethlehem Hooligans during the 1970s and 1980s. He was a devoted runner and tennis player. John was a loving father, had a great sense of humor, was a hard worker, and lived a very simple and modest life. He will be deeply missed by his family and always remembered for his kindness, his sharp intellect and wit, and his love for his family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Julia (Gasdaska) Attanasio and husband Jacob, sisters, Karen Douglass and husband Michael, and Jeanne Steinberg and husband Terry, step grandchildren, Quintyn, Juliana, Gabriella, and Annabel, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
