John W. Rybak

John W. Rybak, 57, of Easton, died on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of Louise (Golab) Rybak and the Late William C. Rybak. He was the loving husband of Patricia C. Broscius; they were married 23 years.

John was a 1979 graduate of Penn State University and received his Juris Doctor Degree in 1982 from the University of Mississippi. He was an active member of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was a member and past president of the Bethlehem Lions Club, received the Melvin Jones award and one of his last wishes was to ensure the continuation of the Bethlehem Lions. He was a member of the Northampton and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and received the Pro-Bono award from North Penn Legal Services for his dedication to providing free legal services to indigent. In addition to his private practice, he continued to serve as Guardian Ad Litem for Northampton County Children and Youth for many years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mom, Louise; wife, Patricia; children, Daniel, Claire and Joseph Rybak; siblings, Mary Brophy, Margaret A. Rybak, Susan J. Rybak, Lucy Billetz and Anthony E. Rybak; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. with Parastas at 7 p.m. and again on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A 10 a.m. Office of Christian Burial will follow at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1826 Kenmore Ave., Bethlehem. Burial will be at the St. Josaphat Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
