John W. Soltysiak

John W. Soltysiak, 95, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday October 20, 2009 at the Hospice of the VNA at St. Luke's, Bethlehem. Born on October 11, 1914 in Mary D, PA; he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Zielinsky Soltysiak. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary L. Wadolny Soltysiak.

John was employed by the Bethlehem Steel working as a machine operator in the Drop Forge Department and the #8 Machine Shop. He retired in 1977. He was a member of the USWA Local 2599, and Our Lord's Ascension Polish National Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary, two grandsons, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, John S. "Salty" Soltysiak, brothers, Charles, Anthony, and Peter Soltysiak, sisters, Josephine Novitsky, and Veronica Matlock.
