Jose Alves

Jose Alves, 85, of Bethlehem died Friday October 17, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 10, 1923 in Real, Portugal son of the late Antonio and Clementina Lopes Alves. He was the husband of Isaura Alburquerque Alves.

Jose worked in the coke ovens for Bethlehem Steel retiring in 1984. He was a member of Holy Infancy Church. Jose was devoted to his family and loved being at home and taking care of his garden .

He will be remembered by his wife Isaura, son, Antonio A. Alves of Bethlehem, brother, Antonio Alves of Bethlehem, and grandson Paul Alves.

Services will be held 9:15AM Tuesday October 21, 2008 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10AM at Holy Infancy Church 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. Calling hour 8:15-9:15Am Tuesday morning at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers mass cards can be made to Holy Infancy Church.
