Josefina Santiago

Josefina Santiago, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Asuncion (Delgado) Diaz. She was the wife of the late Felipe Santiago who passed away in 2010. They were married 47 years. She was predeceased by her brothers Antonio, Encarnacion, Lauriano and sisters Sofia and Martina.

Josefina was a faithful member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church. She was an avid fundraiser for them, a member of the Confraternity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Cursillo Movement. She will always be remembered for her laughter, love of music and the joy she had spending time with family. Her generosity, kindness and loving heart will be missed.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Freddy Mendoza and his wife, Alexandra of Endicott, NY; granddaughter, Ciara O'Neill-Mendoza; brother, Alejandro, sisters Urbania and Victoria.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday Oct. 9th at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem. Visitation will be held in the church on Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
