Joseph A. Repsher, Sr.

Joseph A. Repsher, Sr., 61, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. Born January 20, 1948 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Elwood Repsher and Betty Snyder Ortwein. Joseph was married to Deborah Kovacs Repsher with whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage this past June.

Joseph worked for the Bethlehem Area School District as a bus mechanic. He loved to fish, collect trains and coins. But most of all Joseph was a family man. He especially enjoyed his trips to the Jersey Shore with his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Deborah, daughters, Nicole Repsher Rapolla and Megan Repsher, son, Joseph Repsher, Jr., step mother, Anna Mae Repsher, sisters, Patricia Kiefer and Betty "Penny" Klaus, brother, Terry Repsher, grandchildren, Hailey Rapolla, Aidan and Annaliese Schmoyer, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his beloved dog, Bella.

Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, William Repsher.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 9:30-11:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's name to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place Bethlehem, PA 18017.
