Joseph A. Schwarcz

Joseph A. Schwarcz, 76, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Cedar Brook Nursing Home in Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Albert) Schwarcz. He was the loving husband to Rosemarie (Cougle) Schwarcz. They were married for 52 years. Joseph had worked for the James River Corporation in Milford, NJ. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959. He was a former parishioner of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church and currently a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem Twp.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Rosemarie; two sons, Joseph Schwarcz of Salisbury Twp.; and David Schwarcz, Bethlehem; a sister, Helen Elovoski, five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Piehota; and two sisters, Anna Harbor and Cristina Schwarcz.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem with a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
