Joseph Anderko

February 20, 1920 — July 4, 2009

Joseph "Reds" Anderko, 93, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Moravian Village in Bethlehem, PA. His wife Margaret died in 2003. He was born in Bethlehem and was the son of the Late Charles and Catherine Dravecz Anderko and step mother Anna Talabar Anderko.

Joseph was a Foreman at the Blast Furnace at Bethlehem Steel retiring in 1978 after 30 years service. Prior to that he worked for the Bethlehem Coal and Ice Company. He was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem, a member of the Bethlehem Steel Club and an avid golfer. Joseph was devoted to his family and loved children.

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his son Joseph C. Anderko and his wife Elaine of Bethlehem, two grand daughters Rebecca L. Cornejo and husband Luis of Philadelphia, and Aimee B. Prange wife of Michael of Havertown, PA and two grandsons Jackson and Daniel Prange and a granddaughter Leah Cornejo.

Joseph is predeceased by two brothers Frank and Anthony "Tony" Anderko, three sisters, Helen Neff, Catherine Skrivanek, Mary Elliott.and Anne Donatelli.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Family and friends may call Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment following service at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
