Joseph Andrew Nemchik

Joseph Andrew Nemchik, 84, of Bethlehem, PA died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in his home in Bethlehem. Born August 19, 1929 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Joseph “Whitey” and Anna (Farris) Nemchick. He was married to Elizabeth (Yanek) Nemchik with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage this past October 8th.

Joseph worked as a clerk in the Saucon Plant at Bethlehem Steel. After retiring from Bethlehem Steel he worked for Muhlenberg Hospital as a security guard. He was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish in Bethlehem. Joseph also was a member of Tatra Slovak Folk Group, performing all over the Lehigh Valley for 25 years. In his free time you could often find him tending to his garden.



He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Elizabeth, daughters, Diane Nemchik of Bethlehem and Donna Nemchik Free and husband Darryl of Houston, TX, grandchildren, Bryan and Alexandra Free, sister, Geraldine DiGiacinto of Bethlehem, brother, James Nemchik and wife Lucille of Las Vegas, NV, and nephew, James DiGiacinto

SERVICES

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 AM with a viewing in the church from 9-10 AM. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made in Josephs name to the church or to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place Bethlehem, PA 18017.
