Joseph Andrew Pavlo

November 24, 1928 — February 26, 2011

Joseph A. Pavlo, 82, of Bethlehem went home to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, Feb. 26, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Estock Pavlo.

Joe and his wife Anna H. Kalch were married on June 2, 1956 and have celebrated 54years of marriage.

He worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Co. in the 48" Saucon Rolling Mill Gray Mill, retiring as a Foreman in 1985 after 39 years of service.

Joe was a long time member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem where he was a dedicated usher for many years. He was very involved with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with his boys, serving as Awards Chairman for many years. He was very proud of his black Cadillac and a regular at Wednesday night bingo at the N.E. Wanderers, of which he was a member. Joe was also an avid sports fan, especially the Phillies and the Eagles.

Along with his wife Joe will be lovingly remembered by two sons Joseph A and Thomas J. and his wife Sherri all of Bethlehem; two daughters Catherine A. Policare of Vero Beach, FLA and Regina T. Richter and her husband Michael of Whitehall and a sister Anna B. Zabrecky of Bethlehem. His grandchildren , Joseph and Maria Pavlo and Stephen and Anthony Richter will always lovingly remember their "Zedo" and the times he spent with them. He will also be missed by nephew Michael Pavlo of Bethehem.

He was predeceased by brothers Michael and John.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6-8PM and on Wednesday from 8:15-9:15AM in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem. Funeral Services will begin with prayers at 9:15AM Wednesday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne's Church, 450 Washington Ave., Bethlehem at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery.
