Joseph E. Hudak, 88, of Bethlehem passed away on Friday May 6, 2016. He was born on January 31, 1928 in Eckley, Pa. He was the son of the late John and Mary Margaret (Partika) Hudak. Joseph was the husband of Laura (Decker) Hudak of Bethlehem and they celebrated 66 years of marriage this past March 4th. Joseph worked in the plant maintenance department for Spirax/Sarco in Allentown. He was a local union representative for the USWU Local 2109. Joseph served his country in the US Air Force as a radio specialist during the Korean War in the European Theater. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. Joseph also enjoyed fishing and gardening, but most importantly he was a devoted family man.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Laura, daughter, Agnes George and husband Robert III of Allentown, grandchildren Lauren Hnat and husband William Jr. and Colleen Kravelick and husband Andrew, and great grandsons, Chase, William, and Robert. He was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Friday May 13, 2016 at Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. A viewing will be held from 10am until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
