Joseph E. Yost

Joseph E.Yost, 91, of Alexandria Manor in Nazareth, went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2018. Born on March 6, 1927 in Coplay, he was the son of the late Julius and Hermina (Petrasovits) Yost. He was the loving husband of Frieda (Weber) Yost.

He worked in the machine shop at Spirax Sarco for 37 years. Joseph honorably served his country with the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Honolulu during World War II. He was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Bethlehem, and he enjoyed bowling and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Frieda Yost; daughter Frieda Weeks and husband John of Palmerton, son Joseph Yost and wife Sherry of Kunkletown, and daughter Diane Beil and husband Richard of Northampton; sisters Angie Horvath and Anna Labdik of Bethlehem; Joseph will also be lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by sisters, Hermina Goch, Theresa Schaeffer, and brother Julius Yost.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 417 Carlton Ave., Bethlehem, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9-10 A.M. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Church.
