Joseph F. Bukics, Jr.

Joseph F. Bukics, Jr., 65, of Bethlehem, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 4, 2012.

He was born August 2, 1946; son of the late Joseph and Mary Zamadics Bukics.

Joseph is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Rose Marie Loven Bukics.

After graduating from Notre Dame High School, Joseph proudly enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps to serve his country during the Vietnam War.

He graduated with a B.S. in accounting from Penn State and later received his C.P.A. license. Joseph worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. in the Internal Audit Dept. and later in the General Accounting Dept. until the eventual closing of the company.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Rose Marie; he was the proud father of two daughters, Karen Marie Bukics of Philadelphia; and Alison Marie Bukics and her fianc, Ryan Snyder of Bethlehem. He will also be dearly missed by his sisters, Rose Marie, wife of James Hodrick and Susan, wife of John Majczan and many nieces and nephews.

Joseph was an avid reader, collected stamps and enjoyed target shooting. He was also a dedicated Penn State Football fan and had season tickets for many years.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 6-9 PM at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM on Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020.

Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
