Joseph Kiniuk, 84, of Bethlehem, died peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born April 30, 1926 in Philadelphia, Joseph was the son of the late William and Pearl Beldyk Kiniuk.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Margaret J. Rikli Kiniuk.
Joseph was raised on his family's farm, which he still enjoyed visiting and attended School in Quakertown.
In 1987, Joseph retired from Mack Trucks Inc. after 22 years of service.
He was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.
Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Deborah A. Kiniuk of Whitehall; son, Joseph G. Kiniuk of Bethlehem; sisters, Pearl Kiniuk and Kathryn Whitehead both of Quakertown; Elizabeth Rikli of Center Valley and Helen Morykan and her husband Charles of Easton as well as his brother Walter Kiniuk and his wife Lillian of Sellersville.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Landgreen and Anne Bochniak and his brothers, John and Michael Kiniuk.
Joseph enjoyed taking trips to the casinos where he would play poker; he was an avid hunter; took excellent care of his Cadillacs and took pride in his meticulous lawn and landscaping. But he especially loved spending time with his family.
The family will receive friends at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem PA 18018 from 8-9:15 AM on Wednesday, April 6, 2011.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church and/or to Lehigh Valley Hospice 2166 S. 12th Street, Allentown, PA 18103
