Joseph F. Mocidlowski, 88, of Hellertown died Monday August 28, 2006, at the Hospice of The VNA of St. Luke?s, Lower Saucon Twp. Born March 8, 1918, in Hellertown, he was the son of the late Ignatius and Mary Weglarz Mocidlowski.
Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during WWII, in the Military Police. He was stationed throughout Texas, Louisiana and Florida and was honorably discharged attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was the head mechanic for Ski Bros. Salvage for over 30 years. After retiring he continued farming untill the time of his death. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
He will be lovingly remembered by: nieces; nephews; sisters-in-law, Rose and Mary Mocidlowski. He was preceded in death by his 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
Arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St; Bethlehem where calling hours will be held on Friday September 1st from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. An 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St Stanislaus Catholic Church, 429 Hayes St; Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
