Joseph F. Moyer

Joseph F. Moyer, 87, of Bethlehem died Friday, April 6, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born July 28, 1930 he was the son of the late Julia D. (Konrad) and Joseph H. Moyer. He was married to Loretta (Andreoli) Moyer for 61 years until her passing on March 13, 2014.

Joseph retired from the Bethlehem Police Department as the Commissioner in 1987. He then went onto work as an assistant for Judge Moran in the Northampton County Courthouse. Joseph served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Joseph was an avid golfer and a big fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Albert “Al” Henriques and Joseph G. Moyer, MD., daughter-in-law Barbara Moyer, grandchildren, Ashlee, Cody, Lisa, Sara and Ross and great grandchildren, Olyvia, Vivienn, Alano, and Aria. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary J. Buchanan.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 10-11 Am followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Inurnment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem
