Joseph Fejes, 88, of Glen Mills, PA and formerly of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late John and Sophie (Jakab) Fejes. He was the loving husband of Ella M. (Zobb) Fejes for 66 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Battle of the Bulge and was a Purple Heart recipient. Joe worked for Just Born Candies, Inc. for 34 years and was the Business Agent. He was an active member of the VFW and AFL-CIO Union. Joe organized bus trips for Lehigh Valley Retirees and was an avid sports fan who always wore his Phillies hat. Joe enjoyed Musikfest, polka music, coin collecting, the casinos and Yoccos hot dogs. He and his wife, Ella are also avid dog lovers, especially for their own dogs Melody and Gypsy.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ella; son, Gary J. Fejes and his wife, Debbie of Bluffton, SC; daughter, Sheri L. Gaal and husband, Steve of Folcroft, PA; two grandchildren, Lindsey Wiley and husband, Marty and Brandon Gaal; as well as his nieces and nephews and grand dog, Queenie Bell. Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Stephen and his sister, Olga Brandl.
A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 11-12:15. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
