Joseph G. Rice

Joseph G. Rice, 63, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, March 21, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with skin cancer. He was born November 1, 1950; son of the late Charles and Gladys (Hinkle) Rice. Joe is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diane Rice.

Joe worked in the Maintenance Dept. for Johanna Foods, Inc. in Flemington, NJ. He will be dearly missed by his wife; daughter, Kimberly “Kimmie” and her husband Ricardo Gonzalez; his brother, Ken; sisters, Marilyn Valasquez; Carolyn Nothstein and Susan Shuey and his grandchildren, Kyla, Emily and Alex Knowles and Gabriel “Georgie” Gonzalez. He is also survived by his daughter, KristieJo and his son-in-law, John Knowles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles, Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 12 noon at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. The family will receive friends from 11am-12 pm.
