Joseph P. Hepp, 99, of Bethlehem, passed away on May 17, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 18, 1925, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Victoria (Hafner) Hepp.
Joseph proudly served in Patton's Army during World War II as a member of Division 3, demonstrating his bravery and commitment to his country.
Throughout his life, Joseph worked as a truck driver for Matlack Trucking, where he eventually retired from after years of service. He was also a member of Local 773 Teamsters. An avid golfer, Joseph found joy in spending time on the golf course. He had a talent for entertaining those around him with his humor, often sharing jokes and stories that brought laughter to all who knew him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his five children, Mary Lou Scharkozy (Frank), Patricia Hepp Cardona (David), Kathleen Hepp, Joseph P. Hepp (Rosella) and Terrence R. Hepp; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Adeline Hepp; sister, Muriel Bugg; and brother, Matthew Hepp.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St., Bethlehem, PA 18017 on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. For those who are attending, we will meet at the stop sign just after the entrance to the cemetery.
