Joseph J. Dozpat

Joseph J. Dozpat, Jr., 91, of Bethlehem, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 29, 2013. He was born September 16, 1921 in Bethlehem; son of the late Joseph J. Dozpat, Sr. and Julia (Laczo) Dozpat. Joe was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 58 years, Margaret M. (Geld) Dozpat.

Joe proudly represented his country in the US Army during WWII, serving in the European Theatre from 1944-1946. Prior to his discharge he served on a committee to benefit the United Nations Conference for International Organization. Joe later worked as a Crane Operator at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. in the #6 Machine Shop. He was a Union Shop Steward for USWA Local 2598. In the 1970's Joe and Margaret owned and operated Kevin John Fashions, a garment manufacturer in Allentown.

Joe will be lovingly remembered by his son, Joe and his wife Cindy of Danville, PA grandchildren, Kristin Wagner of North Carolina and Kevin J. Dozpat of Middleburg, PA as well as three great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 10-11 AM with a ceremony to celebrate Joseph's life to immediately follow. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Memorial contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg c/o Development 2100 Mack Blvd. PO Box 4000 Allentown PA 18105-4000.
