Joseph J. Kennedy

Joseph J. Kennedy, 95, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. Born in Philadelphia on May 5, 1917, he was the son of the late James and Catherine Kennedy. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Eleanor D. (Piekutoska) Kennedy.

Joe was employed by the International Resistance Corporation, which became TRW, as a quality control inspector; retiring in 1980 after 30 years on the job. He was a US Army veteran having served during WWII in the Americal Division and a member of the American Legion Oxley Post.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Eleanor; sons, Dennis T. and wife, Cathy of Upper Black Eddy, PA and Dale P. Kennedy of North Wildwood, NJ; granddaughters, Colleen Wladyslawski and Patricia Butler; and great grandchildren, Luke and Molly Wladyslawski, and Victoria, Joseph and Gregory Butler. He was preceeded in death by a brother, John; and sisters, Elizabeth Kennedy, Stella Berkelback and Florence Lee.

A 12 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday January 16th in the St. Ann Chapel at Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Visitation will be held in the chapel a half an hour prior to mass. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sanctuary Memorial Fund at Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
