Joseph J. O'Keefe

Joseph J. O'Keefe, 92, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Holy Family Manor. Born on April 12, 1918 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Mary Toomey O'Keefe. He was the husband of the late Catherine "Kitty" Adams O'Keefe.

He proudly served his country in the US Navy as a coxswain on a PT boat. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0379 and the VFW Post 3094. Joseph was employed by the Bethlehem Steel for over 35 years as a snap shear operator. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by his brothers, Msgr. Michael O'Keefe and Jeremiah O'Keefe, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 21 at 10 a.m. in St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem PA 18017. Visitation will be held in the church from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
