Joseph J. Vrabel

Joseph J. Vrabel, 51, of Wind Gap, PA, died at his home on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. He was born September 18, 1963 in Bethlehem, son of the late Joseph and Sandy (Gerry) Vrabel. He was recently preceded in death by his wife of 14 years, Theresa (Manento) Vrabel, who he lovingly cared for during her battle with cancer.

Joe was a graduate of Liberty High School and later graduated from Allentown Police Academy. He enjoyed serving as a police officer through the Easton Area School District. Joe also assisted with several regional police departments. He was a gun enthusiast, actively participating in both firearm safety and target shooting. Joe also was an avid hunter.

Joe will be dearly missed by his brother, Matthew Vrabel and his wife, Jean of Bethlehem Twp.; his sisters, Jane Urban and her husband, Steven of Huntingdon Valley and Roberta Major of Trumbauersville; as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a service to follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
