Joseph L. Schnalzer, 97, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Tuesday December 28, 2021 at the Traditions of Hanover in Bethlehem, PA. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late John and Cecelia (Schlener) Schnalzer. He was the husband of Marion S. (Bloom) Schnalzer. They were married for 72 years this past October 1st. Joe was a lifelong resident of Bethlehem, PA and worked for Bethlehem Steel. He served his country in the US Navy in WW II in the Pacific Theater and also in the Korean War. Joe was an avid golfer and a well known original member of the Bye-Pass League. He loved to sing with his family and friends when they would all get together. Most importantly, Joe was devoted to his family as a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marion, son, Joseph, and wife, Maryellen, daughters, Jayne Crowther, and husband, Stephen, Marianne Yasso, and partner, Cori Kocher, brother, Edward, sister, Theresa Dorn, grandchildren, Melissa Muschko, Thomas Crowther, and Kaitlyn Labuda, and great grandchildren, Mila, Alice, and Emma. He was predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
A viewing will be held from 10am-11am Wednesday January 5, 2022 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18015 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a Charity of Ones Choice.
