Joseph Lawler

Joseph Lawler, Jr., 87, formerly of Bethlehem, PA and Spring Hill, FL died on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at St. Mary Manor in Lansdale, PA. He was born June 29, 1926 in Jamaica, NY; son of the late Joseph and Loretta (Klein) Lawler. Joseph is survived by his wife of 64 years, Regina M. (Morrison) Lawler.

Joseph proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. in 1986, where he served as Senior Operations Engineer. He was a member of Ss Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Joseph was a past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council 313. He was very active in community and church affairs.

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his children, Michael Lawler and his wife, Michele of Langhorne, PA; Molly Lawler Driscoll of Bethlehem; Patrick Lawler and his wife Terry of Cockeysville, MD; and Joseph Lawler, III of Santa Fe, NM; his brother, James Lawler and his wife, Patricia of Floral Park, NY; as well as his 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Gerard and Thomas Lawler.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 10-11 am with a service to immediately follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus Trinity Council 313 PO Box 1427 Bethlehem, PA 18017 and/ or St. Mary Manor 701 Lansdale Ave. Lansdale, PA 19446.
