Joseph Mitala

Joseph Mitala, 88, formerly of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, June 18,

2006 at Northampton Village Assisted Living.

He was born October 17, 1917 in Bethlehem, the son of the late

Michael and Anna Kach Mitala.

Joseph was also preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Ward Mitala.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Infantry during WWII.

Joseph retired from the Bethlehem Steel Co. in 1980 where he worked

as a carpenter.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Joseph Mitala, Jr.

husband of Ellen of Appleton, Wisconsin.

Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Mitala, three

sisters, Mary Polenchar, Anna Kametz, and Helen Kniha.

He was a member of the VFW Post in Northampton.

A graveside service will be held at 10AM on Tuesday July 11, 2006 at

Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA
