Joseph Molnar, 84, formerly of Bethlehem Twp., passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Alexandria Manor in Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, Joseph was the son of the late Alex and Sadie Molnar. He was married to Vilma (Paller) Molnar for 59 years.
Joseph served his country in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, retiring as a Gunnery Sergeant. He was a lifetime member of the Hellertown American Legion. Joseph retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corp. where he worked as a high voltage electrician. He was a member of USW Local 2600.
Joseph was a former parishioner of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society and more recently he was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Bethlehem MORA Club.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Vilma; daughter, Susan, wife of William Gosztonyi of Hanover Twp. and his granddaughter, Keri, wife of William Young of Bethlehem Twp. Joseph was predeceased by his twin brother, Alex; sister, Ella DeAngelis and granddaughter, Robin Gosztonyi.
A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020 from 9-9:45 AM on Thursday, November 8, 2012 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM. Interment with full military honors will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Memorial contributions may be made to the church
