Joseph O. Negrao

Joseph O. Negrao, 85, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Neusa M. (Soares) Negrao and the late Jean Ann (Zdebski) Negrao who died in 1983. Joseph was born in Belem, Para Brazil on November 22, 1936 to the late Innocencio De Souza and Sylvia Rodrigues Negrao. He was an entrepreneur, owning and operating Alexandria Manor in Bath, Nazareth, and Bethlehem. Joseph was a self-made hard working family man; the only thing that would stop him from working was to watch a Brazilian Soccer game. Joseph was a member of Holy Infancy Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem. He enjoyed going to the Portuguese American Club, Bethlehem.

Survivors: In addition to his wife of 39 years; children: Joe C. (Luana C.) Negrao of Lower Nazareth Twp., Cathy M. Negrao of Bethlehem, Twp., Alexandra G. Negrao of Bethlehem, Twp.; siblings: Claudio Rodrigues Negrao of Rio Brazil, Conny Negrao Schick of Bethlehem, Nazareth Negrao Raulynaitis of Angier, NC; grandchildren: Chase J. and Shay J. Negrao, Daniel and Izabella Zica, children of Daniel (Shimara) Zica of Macungie. Predeceased by a brother: Raimundo Paulo Rodrigues Negrao; sister: Maria Fernanda Rodrigues Negrao.

Service: Family and friends are invited to call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday November 2, 2022 at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad Street-Bethlehem, PA and 9:45-10:45 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Holy Infancy Roman Catholic Church, 312 East Fourth Street-Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.
