Joseph S. Vresk, 71, of Bethlehem died Monday, May 23, 2011.

Born November 29, 1939 in Fountain Hill, Joseph was the son of the late Stephen J. and Mary M. Bednarik Vresk.

He was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic H.S.

Joseph served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Joseph was a lifetime member of the former SS. Cyril & Methodious Catholic Church, now Incarnation of Our Lord Parish. He had been employed at Bethlehem Steel Corp.

His hobbies included constructing and flying model airplanes and gliders which grew into a passion for flying full size airplanes as a student pilot.

Surviving are three sisters, Clare, Clarice and Elizabeth.

He was predeceased by his brother Stephen in 2007 and his sister, Anna in 2008.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

There will be a calling hour at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem PA 18015 on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 9:30-10:30 AM immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Joseph's name may be made to the church and/or to the School Sisters of St. Francis 395 Bridle Path Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18017
