Joseph Stephen Barron

Joseph Stephen Barron, 66, of Bethlehem, died suddenly on Monday, October 19, 2015. He was born in Allentown, the son of Mildred (Strecky) Barron of Bethlehem; and the late Joseph Michael Barron. He was the loving husband to Teresa (Hatch) Barron. They celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on October 15th.

Joseph was a truck driver for Walgreens and a welder for Mack Trucks, Inc. He served his country in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam. He was known as the neighborhood handyman. Joseph was a member of the VVA and the Fullerton Legion.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Teresa; son, Michael Barron and wife, Karen; daughter, Jill Torquato and husband, Michael; two step-daughters, Jennifer Schofer and companion, Nick Sheats, and Maren Schofer and companion, Philipp Mann; sister, Joanne Check and husband, Richard; four brothers, Stephen J. Barron and wife, Jean, Robert "Sparky" Barron and wife, Irene, Paul Barron and wife, Sandy,

Albert "Corky" Barron and wife, Paula, two grandchildren, Emilia and Annika Barron and baby Anthony Torquato on the way; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and his Chihuahua, Oscar.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Visitation will be Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
