Joseph Stephen Zampar, 92, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's.
He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Louis and Anna Horvath Zampar.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Claire Miller Zampar.
He retired in 1978 from the Bethlehem Steel where he worked for 42 years as an Erection Floorhand in #6 and later #2 Machine Shop.
Joseph was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bethlehem
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Shirley, wife of Dominick Labert of Bethlehem; two grandchildren, David and his wife Kristine and Dominick and his wife Kimberly as well as four great grandchildren, Kristen, Nicholas, Daniel and Andrew.
Joseph was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Chrinko, Helen Timer and Anna Timer.
He was a member of St. Bernard's Beneficial Society and a lifetime member of SE WY CO Fire Co.
Joseph was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed bowling.
A visitation will be held on Saturday February 16, 2007 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem from 8-9:30AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church 416 E. 5th St. Bethlehem PA 18015.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem
