Joseph T. Hudak, Sr.

August 23, 1925 — August 25, 2008

Joseph T. Hudak, Sr., 83, of Bethlehem, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at his residence. Born in Nesquehoning, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Ella Fabian Hudak. He was the loving husband of Agnes Belekanich Hudak.

Joseph worked for Bethlehem Steel as a foreman in the beamyards before retiring in 1983. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy on the USS ATTU.

He was a founding member of Notre Dame Catholic Church of Bethlehem. Mr. Hudak also served as the Secretary and Treasurer of The South Bethlehem Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Agnes, sons, Charles E. Hudak & his wife Judith Merritt, Joseph T. Hudak, Jr., daughter, Barbara E. Hudak, grandchildren, Victoria Rumble, Rebecca Gasser, Tamara Tretter & Adam Gertner and his great-grandchildren, Naomi, Mason, Brandon, Emily, Collin, Kayla & Nicholas.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Skibo and Ellen Metzgar and his brother, Edward Hudak, Sr.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 10:15 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m .at Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem. Visitation will be from 8-10:15 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
