Joseph T. Petrilla

Joseph T. Petrilla, 92, of Bethlehem, PA passed away Monday, September 7, 2009 at Moravian Village of Bethlehem.

Joseph was married to Margaret Chabak Petrilla with whom he just recently celebrated 67 years of marriage on July 18.

Joseph was a Liberty High School Graduate. He worked for Mack Trucks and after retiring he became an ambassador for Mack Trucks for 20 years. Joseph was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bethlehem for 35 years and its Rosary Society. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Bethlehem and Quakertown achieving the rank of Grand Knight and Deputy Grand Knight. Joseph was also a member of the MORA Club, Wanders and the Catholic Sokals. Joseph also volunteered for the Special Olympics, Channel 39, the Red Cross and the Blind Association.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret Petrilla of Bethlehem, daughter, Marjorie, wife of G. Gerard Barnett of Manasquan, NJ, granddaughters, Jorie Johnson of Manasquan, NJ, Tamie Kelley of Lutherville, MD and Katie Stratton of Dublin, Ireland, great grandchildren, Gerard and Ellie Johnson and Toyja Kelley.

Friends may call on Friday, September 11, 2009 at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA from 9:30-11 AM and are invited to participate in the celebration of Joseph's life at the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.

Burial will follow at Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, in Northampton, PA.
