Joseph W. Mastrocola

Joseph W. Mastrocola, 92, of Bethlehem, formerly of White Haven, PA and Spotswood,NJ, died on Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Agnes (Conslato) and Joseph Mastrocola. He was the loving husband of the late Rosemary V. (Kuchenbrod) Mastrocola and the late Bernadette (Gallagher) Mastrocola.

Joseph proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during WWII. After graduating from the University of Scranton, he worked for Baxter International. Joseph was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church in Spotswood, NJ and also St. Patricks Church in White Haven. He enjoyed volunteering his time at the soup kitchen and was a very charitable man. He was an avid reader and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a loving and caring man who will be missed by many.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Michael Mastrocola and his wife Sharon and Joseph Mastrocola and his wife, Theresa; daughter, Mary wife of John Ruhl; sister, Christine Allman and six grandchildren, Michelle, Laura, Joseph, Erin, Rebecca, and Robert. Joseph was preceded in death by his sisters, Grace Warner and Suzanne Sagan.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and also on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 8-9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Pottsville.
