Joseph Zwarycz

Joseph Zwarycz, 83, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in his home surrounded by his family. Born May 13, 1925 in Wilkes-Barre, PA he was the son of the late Harry Zwarycz and Mary Papuga Zwarycz. He was married to Alice Tarasuk Zwarycz with whom he just celebrated 59 years of marriage this past July 30th.

Joseph worked for the former Bethlehem Steel for 32 years.

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his children; Barbara, wife of David Hendricks of Allentown; David Zwarycz, husband of Alline of Jacksonville, FL; Dorothy, wife of Mark Petruno of Catasauqua, and Evelyn Sloyer of Catasauqua. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Joseph was preceded in death by a son-in-law James Sloyer, brothers John, Charles, and Alex, and a sister, Helen Zwarycz.

A calling period will be held Friday, January 2, 2009 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA, 18018, from 1-2 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2 PM.
