Josephine A. Hart

Josephine A. Hart of Bethlehem died on Saturday May 24th at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa.

She and her husband William J. Hart, who died on July 4, 1971, were married on November 13, 1937.

Born in Bethlehem, Pa. Feb. 5, 1914 she is the daughter of the late Elia and Anna Swatko Zeritny who were Ukranian immigrants.

She was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bethlehem for the past 60 years.

She retired in 1978 from Lehigh University where she was a secretary in the Philosophy Department.



She will be dearly missed by her family; Daughter Jeanne E. Hart of Bethlehem, Sons; William J. Hart, Jr. husband of Lynn, and James F. Hart both of Ann Arbor, Mich. Two grandsons William Hart, III of Ann Arbor and Benjamin and his wife Jennifer of Hinesville, GA and four nieces and one nephew.

She was predeceased by her brother Andrew Chapko and sisters Tillie Samardak and Mary Thomson.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave Bethlehem.

Visitiation will be Thursday at the church 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.

Memorials may be made in Josephine's name to St. Anne's Church.
