Josephine Carreras

Josephine Carreras, 85, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Theresa (Pinter) and John Czar. She was married to the late Benigno Carreras for 46 years.

Josephine worked for the Pennsylvania State Department of Health. She enjoyed bowling, reading, cooking, baking, traveling and dancing. Taking care of her family was her passion. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cathleen Baker and her husband Kurt, Cynthia Perez and Steven Carreras and his wife Rhonda; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Josephine was preceded in death by her 4 brothers, 5 sisters and a granddaughter, Rachel Carreras.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
