Josephine Mongiello

Josephine Mongiello, 93, of Bethlehem and formerly of Glenolden, died on Saturday, September 20, 2014. She was born in Messina, Sicily, the youngest of 12; daughter of the late Vincent and Angelina (Venuti) Cucinotta. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony A. Mongiello who died in 1989.

In her early years she worked as a seamstress then was employed by Wynns Food Market for 19 years. She was a charter member of the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Secane. She was also a member of St. Annes Catholic Church, Bethlehem, St. Annes 55 plus club, and the I.L.G.W.U.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Rev. Anthony P. Mongiello of Bethlehem, and her daughter, Susan, wife of Mark Bocchetti of Rochester, N.Y.

An 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Our Lady of Fatima, 1 Fatima Dr., Secane, PA 19018. Visitation will be held in the church from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Fatima Parish or St. Annes Church, 450 Washington Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18017.
