Josephine Persa, 83, died on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in her residence in Bethlehem. She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late John and Mary Kucera Tokar. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Persa, in 1980.
She was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Josephine was a member of the National Sokols, Elks Club and the Y.W.C.A., where she enjoyed playing Bridge.
Survivors: Josephine will be lovingly remembered by her son, Larry J. and his wife, Sally, of Bethlehem; two granddaughters, Megan and Nancy; as well as a sister, Marguerite Sharpell of Pequannock, N.J.; brother, John Tokar of Bethlehem. She was predeceased by three sisters, Bernadine Chrynwski, Mary Donches and Catherine Ortwein.
Services: A visitation will be held in Connell Funeral Home Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Friday, September 22, 2006 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow in the church at 10 a.m. Contributions: May be made to St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18017.
